Over the past year, REDtoolbox has set a new standard for affordable, user friendly PPK processing and image geotagging. It’s proven especially popular with users of the DJI Phantom4RTK and is also compatible with Emlid PPK units.
We’ve released multiple updates since the middle of 2019, and we’ve now also updated the software manual to reflect the latest features and user interface. Those who have purchased a license with updates or who are interested in the software can download the latest version and the manual at: https://www.redcatch.at/redtoolbox/
We’ll be travelling to Intergeo from 17th to 19th of September, where we’ll be located in hall 3, booth D3.050. Come and visit us, and you’ll be able to see and discuss our new products, which will include:
ImageVector Multi, a new multi-channel (L1/L2) ImageVector with cm accuracy and RTK/PPK capability. RTK upgrades for ImageVector Mono, with correction data provided via NTRIP broadcaster through Bluetooth connection to mobile phone. REDtoolbox software, which now performs PPK processing and geotagging in a single click and outputs to a variety of photogrammetry software. We’re also looking forward to discussing with you about our point cloud services, which include photogrammetric processing, editing, analysis and data presentation.
As in previous years, we have some tickets available to give away. Anyone still needing a ticket can get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are in the final stages of development of a new RTK Bluetooth connection to our 3D ImageVector Mono. This will allow users to stream NTRIP correction data to the ImageVector via their mobile phone for precise location measurements in real time. PPK will remain a good option for those seeking maximum accuracy and versatility in areas without mobile reception. However, we also know that a quality RTK option will be appreciated by many.
We are also excited to announce that we will be releasing a multi-channel version of the ImageVector. This will utilise L1/L2 bands and satelites from the GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo networks. More details, such as price, accuracy and recommended applications will be available on our website prior to the device’s release.
These new products will be advertised on our website and available for purchase by the end of summer, and there will also be reasonably priced options for existing customers to trade in and upgrade their hardware.
Users of Agisoft Metashape will be familiar with the large amounts of disc space needed to store old projects. To address this problem, we have created a tutorial video to guide customers on how to dramatically reduce the space needed, while ensuring that all essential project data is kept safe. The process is easy to follow and highly recommended to anyone who regularly works with Agisoft. To check out the video, please visit our Youtube page (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rESBv4laXQQ), and if you like it, please give it a thumbs up.
